Important information regarding registrations for 2018 Winter Season

I just wanted to update you with what is happening with Registrations for the coming season.

New Zealand Football are introducing a new digital framework as they modernize how they interact with everyone in the football community.

They have partnered with Analyticom, Sportsground and Salesforce to deliver a quality digital experience. All are market leaders in their respective fields and boast over 40 years of experience in digital technology between them. 

Their industry-leading technologies will be used to manage, develop and deliver the NZ Football Digital Framework, the digital strategy that will serve to connect all aspects of football in New Zealand and make administration processes for clubs and federations more efficient, as well as vastly improving the governing body’s ability to understand the demographics of the football community.

The registrations application New Zealand Football have chosen is called COMET and is used widely throughout the world. This will replace the old Goalnet application that had many limitations.

The superior functionality that comes with COMET is going to make management of our membership base a whole lot easier completely improving the way we manage membership, teams and competitions. This will cut down the amount of hours spent doing administrative tasks to seconds and minutes.

As the start of the process towards getting the new registrations application underway New Zealand Football will be sending you an email about MyCOMET.

MyCOMET is the member profile for football participants and enthusiasts alike.

MyCOMET is where you will be able to make purchases for registration, events, coaching courses; view your own calendar for upcoming fixtures or events that you have registered to; and view and manage your details.

All current members will already have a MyCOMET profile set up. New Zealand Football has advised that this will be going live this week.

A scheduled communication from New Zealand Football to all members on how to activate and navigate through their Member profile will be occurring on Monday 22 January 2018.

This will include your login credentials. You will need this important information once New Zealand Football advise us they are ready for us to open Registrations. We will let you know by email when that will be. If you do not receive the email from New Zealand Football please check your spam folder as it may land there.

We will also let you know via our website www.forresthillafc.co.nz as well as on our Facebook page.

The new COMET application will bring some slight changes to how payments will be made to complete your registration. Now online payment must be completed at the time of registration. This can be done via credit card, debit card or online eftpos. This functionality is all part of the new application.

As with any new application there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way so we ask that you please be patient as we all come up to speed with a new application.
