2017 Premier Men's Coach Announced

Forrest Hill Milford United AFC is pleased to announce that they have signed Andy Boyens as their Premier Men’s coach for the 2017 season. Boyens was involved last season as Player/Coach. Club General Manager Andrew Diver said “we are delighted to have Andy on board again in a pure coaching role. Last season we were thrilled to maintain our position in the NRFL Men’s Premier League and Andy will have learnt a lot in his first season as the “gaffer”.  The Club has big plans and it’s great that Andy wants to be a part of those”.

As a former NZ U20 representative, former All White and a first-team All-American whilst at the University of New Mexico, Boyens brings Forrest Hill a wealth of experience. His coaching experience also includes a spell as head coach within the LA Galaxy Youth Academy. Diver said “the Club believes in creating pathways, not just for players but coaches and administrators as well. It is great that we have been able to achieve this with Andy’s appointment”.

Boyens said “I’m really pleased to be appointed and excited about the prospect of building on the great progress made last season. The Club has big ambitions and it’s going to be great to be a part of delivering on those. We have a promising crop of youngsters coming through and a strong squad returning from last season”

Diver said “we are well placed to have a great 2017 and aim to continue to develop the Club both on and off the field to ensure sustainable success”.
